Rupa is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech. She got her Masters of Science from Georgia Institute of Technology in Transportation Systems Engineering and Bachelors of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) with a Minor in Operations Research. During her Masters at Georgia Tech, she worked with the Aerospace, Transportation Advanced Systems (ATAS) laboratory at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). At the ATAS laboratory, she was funded by the National Science Foundation on a collaborative project with the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga (UTC) to build a Connected-Autonomous Vehicle testbed in the city of Chattanooga and study the impacts of Cooperative Sensing and Cooperative Mobility. During her time at IIT Madras, she worked on building vehicle following models for heterogeneous (Indian traffic) traffic conditions.
