We are excited to announce a publishing opportunity for SES 2025 presenters in a Special Topic issue of the Journal of Applied Physics (JAP), focused on advances in applied mechanics and applied physics. This special issue will highlight original research contributions presented at the conference and is intended to showcase the breadth and depth of cutting-edge work across our community.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Mechanical metamaterials and architected materials
- Nanomechanics and nanoscale phenomena
- Soft matter and active materials
- Multiscale and multiphysics modeling
- Deformation, fracture, and failure mechanisms
- Fluid–structure interactions and transport phenomena
- Energy conversion and dissipation in complex systems
- Electromechanical and thermomechanical coupling
- Emerging experimental techniques in applied mechanics
All submitted papers will undergo peer review according to Journal of Applied Physics editorial standards. Accepted manuscripts will be published as part of a dedicated Special Topic issue celebrating SES 2025 and will benefit from enhanced visibility within the applied physics and engineering science communities. All papers will publish Open Access at no charge to authors!
Of note: eligible submissions will also be considered for the 2025 JAP Early Career Investigator Selection.
Stay tuned for submission instructions and deadlines — coming soon!
