Description:
This symposium has two components: a fishbowl conversation panel and a poster session, which offer the prospects an opportunity to highlight their credentials and learn from various stakeholders, respectively, while forming valuable connections. In the first part of the symposium, the panel discussion will be attended by faculty of all ranks, administrators, and federal program managers, who offered their advice and experience to the prospects on the application process, interview pitch and expectations, and transition. In the second part of the symposium, the poster session will provide an opportunity for the prospects to highlight their research and education credentials to the conference participants. Thanks to the support of NSF, we will sponsor 40 participants with each receiving up to $1000 travel award.
