I have been very interested in the Collatz Conjecture for a long time. It is an unsolved problem in mathematics and is considered the most difficult easiest problem, given the ease with which a non-mathematical audience can understand it. There is much more to the Collatz Conjecture than just mathematics. It can represent so many things in nature and can have so many applications.
3. Objectivity vs Subjectivity: Can Mathematics be used to resolve Political Debates? A small book or large article with case studies and examples.
This can be a bit controversial, so I am not sure if I want to pursue it.
