Crystal is a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She works with Dr. Srinivas Peeta. Her primary focus is on optimal control for connected autonomous vehicles (CAVs), from both aspects of individual vehicles and transportation systems. She works on big data analysis, optimization algorithm development, and implementation of CAVs and modular vehicles. She is also interested in traffic flow analysis and traffic visualization tools. Her work has been supported by research grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

Before joining the GIT, she obtained her Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, advised by Dr. Xiaopeng Li, and a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Shanghai University of Science and Technology.
