This project employs continuum robotics technology to simulate the movement of a caterpillar. The movement of the caterpillar serves as a response to children’s stepping on the force sensors, aiming to encourage children to walk further with the right step length and tempo. This is a playful and interactive device developed through the quick interactive product design and development process where user studies with small sample size were conducted from the the beginning to the end of this project. This project was done in 9 weeks.
