Taily is a social robot that serves as an educational toy. By embedding pneumatically actuated, continuum robotic mechanisms with this very simple paper box (in which Arduino circuits are hidden), Taily can simulate the natural reaction of a cat, aiming to raise children’s awareness of treating animals gently. We went through the basic steps of designing and developing a quick interactive product. This project was completed in 9 weeks.
