Starting in Academic Year 2024/2025, the new interdisciplinary minor on Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is available to students in participating Schools.

The minor equips undergraduate students with skills and knowledge to use AI and ML to solve problems in engineering, humanities, and social sciences. The curriculum is also designed to provide students with the insight to describe and discuss current ethics and policy frameworks related to AI and machine learning.

In 2024-2025, the minor is available to undergraduate students who are pursuing majors in the following Schools:
Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts:
* School of Economics
* School of History and Sociology
* Sam Nunn School of International Affairs
* School of Literature, Media and Communication
* School of Modern Languages
* School of Public Policy
College of Engineering:
* Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering
* School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
* School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
* H. Milton Stewart School of industrial and Systems Engineering
* School of Materials Science and Engineering
* Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering

In the future, other Schools may be added to the minor, pending approval by the Institute Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and Faculty Senate.
