Welcome to the Georgia Tech Student Chapter of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM)! We are a part of the Southeast Branch of the national ASM organization, and our primary mission is to nurture a passion for microbiology education and research across all academic levels in Georgia. Additionally, we are dedicated to supporting students and postdocs at Georgia Tech in their professional growth.
We fulfill our mission through a range of services and activities. These include hosting enlightening guest lectures, fostering collaboration with other academic institutions, conducting workshops on fellowships and graduate school applications, organizing research symposia, and actively engaging in outreach initiatives aimed at K-12 students.
Our chapter is home to a vibrant and diverse community comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postdoctoral researchers. We are united by our shared enthusiasm for microbiology and our eagerness to exchange ideas and knowledge within this fascinating field.
