Johnathan (Jack) is 2nd year Ph.D. student pursuing a degree in Robotics. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2020 with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. His research at RPI focused on developing industrial robotic systems with an emphasis on those designed for metal additive manufacturing. Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, he worked in industry for several years at a small Boston company performing R&D on SBIR and STTR government contracts for the Department of Defense. He has worked on a variety of topics including mechanical design, CFD/FEA, antenna design, microwave systems, robotics, and control systems. His current research focuses on guidance, navigation, and control for multi-agent aerial robotics systems in Urban Air Mobility. His research is particularly focused on creating fair and equitable collision avoidance algorithms for these systems.
