Dear Cognitive Aging Colleagues, 

We hope this message finds you well. It is with regret that we must inform you of the cancellation of the 2024 Cognitive Aging Conference, which was scheduled to take place on April 11 – 14, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia. After careful consideration of the current circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s conference. Behind the scenes, the CAC committee has been working diligently organizing the conference, but there have been persistent contractual problems with the venue. We believed these problems to have been resolved when we announced the call for abstracts in December, 2023. However, there remain contractual disagreements which place unacceptable liability on the organizers. Given the lateness of the date, we believe that the best way forward is to cancel this year’s event. 

I understand that this news will be disappointing, especially considering the amount of effort many of you have already put into preparing for the event. Please know that this decision was not made lightly, and we are deeply sorry for any inconvenience it may cause. For those who have already registered for the event, a full refund will be issued.

We are exploring alternative options, including rescheduling the conference to a later date, and we will keep you informed as we assess the situation further. Your input and understanding during this challenging time are greatly appreciated.
