Café Momus is the contemporary music ensemble at Georgia Tech which combines contemporary music and theater. Founded by Music Director Chaowen Ting in 2017, we aim to reach out to the audience outside of the traditional concert halls. Set in an intimate performance space, Café Momus collaborates with artists from other areas and fields, including drama, dancing, and visual arts.
The past performance of Café Momus included Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat and Walton’s Façade Entertainment. Student musicians collaborate with professional musicians, actors, and dancers in all Café Momus performances. We seek to create a total-art presentation of each work with cutting-edge combination of music, theater, dance, and stage design.
Admission is FREE to all our events thanks to the generous support of the Georgia Tech Parents Fund!
