On January 17th, 2021, Dr Mitchell was honored with a biographical article on the Team USA website. Focusing on her Paralympic career, it goes in depth about the engineering innovations she used to overcome unexpected challenges. We in the Mitchell lab are so proud of the perseverance and adaptability our PI shows and has shown for her entire career. These are qualities we try to implement into our research as well, when working on machine learning tactics and curation which help further modern understanding of diseases such as ALS, Alzheimer’s, and cancer.
