Last Thursday, the Laboratory for Pathology Dynamics had the opportunity to see each other in person, celebrate Dr. Mitchell’s silver medal win, and enjoy some pizza and cake!

The cake, one that could win any tv cooking competition, shows Dr. Mitchell competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! Thank you Katie and David for making this wonderful and tasty cake!

The lab also had the opportunity to present Dr. Mitchell with another silver medal for being the most talented, supportive, and inspiring PI any student could ask for. Thank you for all that you do Dr. Mitchell!

 

During the 2019 Annual Data Science Forum, Jayant was given the honor of presenting his research as a speaker for the Machine Learning in Science and Engineering Symposium (MLSE). He talked about his use of machine learning to improve diagnostics of Alzheimer’s Disease and how the promising results could have a huge impact on medicine’s approach to this form of dementia. This lab is proud of Jayant’s success thus far and looks forward to all future accomplishments he will achieve.
