Community and Cultural Inclusion

-Community-building through communication, networking and events 

Create an intranet webpage with statement of purpose (“Create welcoming environment for all populations subject to prejudice”) and links to D&I events and training opportunities on campus; 

Advertise training opportunities (mental health, diversity…); 

Organize CEE-DEI events such as lab tours, lunch and learn gatherings to mix students, staff and faculty, film viewing sessions (remote) and discussions, volunteering opportunities (Feed the homeless, races for charity); 

Create an info email address where CEE community members could send questions or tell a personal story about their positive and negative experiences on campus in regards to diversity, inclusion and equity; 

Respond to these emails consistently and methodically, by researching information as needed from experts on campus and beyond, and by pointing the requester to resources as appropriate; 

Partner with the research focus group to analyze the requests and responses to identify community needs;
