Biography
Aleksandr Lutsenko is a Ph.D. student in the Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. His research focuses on urban air mobility (UAM) vehicles and their complex aerodynamic interactions with the environment. His interests lie in developing high-performance computing (HPC) solvers to enable real-time aerodynamic simulations. In essence, he takes a lot of math and physics, translates it into efficient code, and throws it at problems until they yield.
He earned B.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Physics from Georgia Tech in 2024.
Outside the lab, Aleksandr enjoys playing piano, tennis, and taking scalps in chess tournaments.
Research
Leveraging the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM) to enable mid-fidelity real-time aerodynamic simulation.
