Biography
Jacob Szymanski is a Masters student in the Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech. He received his B.S. degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the U.S. Air Force Academy. His research focus is in adaptive flutter control and the design of a test article to perform wind tunnel flutter control testing.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys working on his truck, mountain biking (and unicycling), and flying. After finishing his time at Georgia Tech, Jacob will be moving on to Air Force Pilot Training.
Research
Adaptive flutter control applying a noise cancellation control algorithm to a nonlinear flutter motion. Design of a wind tunnel test article with specific aeroelastic properties and a controlled flap for flutter suppression testing.
