Co-Presidents

Suann Kim
Suann (She/her) is a third-year ChBE major from Suwanee, GA. She is a part of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional sorority, and ChBE Ambassador. Additionally, she has worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Jones Lab, and she is currently pursuing research in the Blazeck Lab. Suann has studied abroad in Metz, France as a part of Georgia Tech-Europe program. She has completed an internship with ExxonMobil in Baton Rouge, LA. Suann loves solo traveling (walks ~50k steps daily whenever she travels), photography, and cooking.

Jack Fulton
Jack is fourth-year ChBE major from Norcross, GA. He is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He enjoys being outdoors and staying active through intramural sports and hiking. He intends to get a job in oil and gas after graduation.

Michael Silas
Michael is a third-year ChBE major from Salt Lake City, Utah, pursuing the ChBE biotechnology track. In addition to being on SAB, he is a ChBE Peer Mentor, a ChBE Student Ambassador, and a part of Peer-Led Help Desk. He pursues undergraduate research in the Blazeck Lab, has studied abroad in Lyon, France, and has completed an extended internship with Moderna in the Boston area. Michael is a lifelong classical pianist and an avid ultimate frisbee fan. He loves to hike and ski, and he has sunk countless hours into his favorite video games, including the Zelda series and Hollow Knight. On campus, Michael is actively involved in CCF and intramural sports, and you can find him cheering on the Yellow Jackets at athletic events of all kinds.

Maria Martinez
Maria is a third-year ChBE major with a minor in Social Innovation and Collaboration from McMinnville, Oregon. She is a peer mentor at the HIVE Makerspace, a Team Coach for the Grand Challenges LLC, a member of AlChE and Astronomy Club, and has recently obtained her scuba diving certification with gtscuba. She is also involved in undergraduate research in the Bhamla Lab. In her free time, she loves to bake, read, play guitar, and hang out with her friends.

Leonardo Santamarina
Leo is a third year CHBE major from Loveland, Ohio pursuing the standard track! He has interned for Procter & Gamble twice, once in the summer and once in the spring! He also has been working in the Lively Research Lab at GT and studied abroad in Metz, France! Around campus Leo is happily involved in lots of clubs and activities around campus as well! He is the Club Soccer Treasurer and enjoys playing all sorts of intramurals! As for the ChBE community he is an ambassador, Team leader, and obviously SAB! He also enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends, learning guitar, and going to all the sporting events!

Madison Tat
Madison is a third-year ChBE major from Greensboro, North Carolina. Apart from SAB, she is a ChBE Ambassador, GT1000 Team Leader, and pursues undergraduate research in the Jamali Lab studying ligand exchange reactions and surface analyzation in gold nanorods. She has studied abroad on the BEST program in Lyon, France and is interning as pipeline engineer with LyondellBasell. On campus, Madison is also a captain for the Georgia Tech Tour Guides, a GT Student Ambassador, and a member of the Christian Campus Fellowship. In her free time, she loves to try new recipes, explore coffee shops around Atlanta, run, and compete with her friends in Catan.

Prakruti Srikanth
Prakruti is a first year ChBE major from Ashburn, Virginia. Outside of being on SAB, she is on GT Ramblin Raas, and the blog writer for AI@GT. She’s involved in undergraduate research in the Dasi lab. Prakruti has been dancing since the age of 7, and has explored many different styles including bharathanatyam and bollywood. She loves sewing, writing, music, and anything that involves creation. She loves going to the gym and working out. You can find her all over campus exploring and having a good time.

Katie Swanson
Katie is a third-year ChBE major and Spanish minor from Marietta, GA. She is a member of AIChE, a ChBE ambassador, vice president of the club gymnastics team, a cellist, math TA, and ChBE team leader. She is a part of the Peralta-Yahya GT research group, has studied abroad as a part of GTE in Metz, France, and plans on pursuing an internship in future semesters. In her free time, she enjoys coaching gymnastics, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Kabir Maindarkar
Kabir Maindarkar (he/him) is a third-year ChBE major from Marietta, Georgia, on the Biotechnology pathway with a minor in Applications of AI and ML. He has completed a Process Engineering Co-op at LyondellBasell, and has studied abroad at the GTE Campus in Metz, France. Kabir’s hobbies include hiking and traveling, and he has been to numerous treks around the world including Angel’s Landing at Zion National Park, the Hoodoos at Bryce Canyon, and Harder Kulm in Switzerland. In his free time, he loves to play basketball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and watch classic movies (his favorites are The Prestige and Interstellar!).

Luke Kans
Luke is a first-year ChBE major from Victoria, Minnesota, pursuing the ChBE biotechnology track. In addition to being involved in the SAB on campus, he is also involved in Cru Campus Ministry and Greek Life. Luke has played basketball all his life and is very involved in intramural sports on campus such as pickleball, basketball, and football. He loves to go boating with friends back home, find new places to explore, and listen to lots of different music!

Pelin Gurmen
Pelin is a second-year ChBE major from Houston, TX. Alongside being on SAB, she is a member of the Nepal Project in Engineers Without Borders, the GT Rowing Club, and the Turkish Student Organization. She also plays in the GT Symphonic Band (you’ll often have a hard time prying her flute from her hands) and is a massive fan of all things music. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends/family, reading (don’t bring up books unless you’re braced for a rant on her most recent read), and traveling to new places!

Fiona Feng
Fiona is from Brooklyn, New York and is currently a third-year ChBE major. She’s the assistant director of marketing for SMILE, a member on ChemE Car Club, and is now on SAB. She did research with CASFER focused on decarbonizing the manufacturing of fertilizers for two semesters. Outside of ChemE, Fiona is an artist who enjoys working with traditional mediums like gouache and watercolor paint, and likes to go on runs. She also enjoys playing video games, spending MANY many hours playing her favorite game, Red Dead Redemption 2. Sometimes, you can spot her in the HIVE Makerspace printing stickers while listening to Broadway musical soundtracks.

Jia Dhingra
Jia is a second-year ChBE major from Alpharetta, GA pursuing the biotechnology track and minoring in Spanish. She is a part of the Wilson Lab at GT, where she works on building and testing synthetic circuits in bacteria. She is also a ChBE peer mentor and AIChE member. Jia has also studied abroad with the GT Europe program! In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her friends, trying new recipes, listening to music, and playing piano.

Jessica Lerke
Jessica (she/her) is a second-year ChBE major with a biotechnology concentration from Centreville, VA. She studied abroad at the University of Oxford, interned at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, and is involved in undergraduate research in the STEAM Lab. On campus, she serves as the Technical Development Chair for the Society of Women Engineers and is involved with AIChE and the ChBE External Communications Committee. Outside of class, Jessica loves swimming, going on runs, playing piano, and watching movies with friends (her all-time favorite is Good Will Hunting!). She’s especially passionate about medical technology and hopes to pursue a career in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Kavitha Pradeep
Kavitha (she/her) is a second-year Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering major from Doha, Qatar. In addition to serving on the Student Advisory Board, she is the Social Chair for Alpha Chi Sigma and an active member of AIChE. You might find her working on research with the BioExplorers at The MILL, and she enjoys exploring the creative side of scientific innovation. Outside of ChemE, she loves to dance, cook, and experiment with new recipes. She is excited to explore the endless possibilities within chemical engineering and hopes to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
