The brief
There are certain common stereotypes and myths associated with engineering and who does engineering. For this contest, we want to see images of Georgia Tech students and/or faculty doing things that surprise us, delight us, challenge our expectations, defy stereotypes.
Tips
Composition: Make sure your photo tells a story. Keep it simple, experiment with your angle and crop.
Color: Try working with bright colors against non-distracting backgrounds so your photo stands out.
Depth: Keep your subject sharp, but use the background to tell a story.
Diptychs and Triptychs allowed / encouraged
Consider turning in a diptych or triptych. Rather then submit a single image, submit a panel of 2 or 3 images that together tell a story. These images can be from the same session or they can be polar opposites to show opposing or contrasting or otherwise interesting or surprising ideas and relationships.
