(04) Week 2 – Bailey-Derek Wire-Bending Grammar

In Week 2, students were taught the Bailey-Derek Grammar which catalogs wire-bending techniques coming out of the Trinidad Carnival and practiced enskilment through demonstrations for fine-tuning of students’ perception and action. Using the Bailey-Derek Grammar, they had to make an artifact (lampshade) that explored and demonstrated their engagement.
