In Weeks 4 and 5, students learned how to use a digital design and fabrication tool developed by myself (Vernelle A. A. Noel) to aid in the design and fabrication of linear rod structures and wire-bending. Using this new digital tool, and those learned before (Bailey-Derek Grammar, and Crafting Fabrication) they had to make an artifact (lampshade) that explored and demonstrated their engagement with these three approaches to wire-bending.
