About
Welcome to Tech in the Time of COVID-19, a database of tips and resources for Georgia Tech students to survive and thrive during the 2020 novel coronavirus outbreak. This website contains instructional documents, videos, audio files, and infographics for understanding COVID-19, learning new skills to pass the time, and building resilience wherever you may be.
Who built this website?
In the middle of Spring semester 2020, students in Dr. Krystin Gollihue’s Technical Communication course moved to remote learning in response to the University System of Georgia’s guidance. Previously, they had been studying crisis communication and disaster response, and decided to shift their focus to analyzing the communication practices of various stakeholders at Georgia Tech in response to the 2020 novel coronavirus outbreak.
After deliberation, they decided the most effective deliverable would be to create a resource for and by Georgia Tech students to support one another during this time of self-isolation and quarantine.
