I am the Lab Coordinator of the DILAC (Digital Integrative Liberal Arts Center) Lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I administer the space along with faculty members Janet Murray and Lauren Klein, and the head of IT for the College of Liberal Arts, Steve Hodges. The lab is active in the space most institutions label “digital humanities,” as well as in areas that incorporate the institute’s heavy focuses on science, engineering, and design. Much of our work is project-based, both in the form of internal lab projects, and funded faculty projects. This blog is meant to give a glimpse into the day-to-day workings of the lab from the perspective of our Graduate Fellows, who receive instruction from us and contribute to our myriad projects. We hope it will provide insight into the kinds of work, relationships, projects, and learning experiences that make up a DH lab.
