Qing Li received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University (China) in 2006. He moved to the U.S. in 2006, and received his Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2013. His dissertation research, under the direction of Prof. Ali Adibi, focused on the design and demonstration of compact and low-loss microcavity resonators in both silicon and silicon nitride platforms for on-chip interconnects and for signal processing.

Qing is currently a CNST/UMD Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nanofabrication Research Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He is working with Kartik Srinivasan developing techniques for chip-scale, silicon nitride photonic interfaces for interrogating rubidium atomic systems and chip-scale frequency conversion photonic interfaces in microcavity resonators.
