In Fall 2018, Omid joined the Photonic Research Group at Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue his Ph.D. Generally, his current research interests lie in the field of nanophotonic modeling based on deep-learning approaches, phase change materials and neuromorphic computing. He received his B.Sc. degree from University of Tehran, and his M.Sc. degree from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. During his master research, he worked on physical implementation of optical reservoir computing.
