Reza Pourabolghasem

Reza Pourabolghasem received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology in 2007, where his B.S. project was on materials with a negative refractive index. He has been with the Photonics Research Group since May 2009, pursuing his graduate studies as a Ph.D. student. Reza’s research is focused on phononic devices with applications in wireless communications and sensing.

Reza ranked first in Iran’s nationwide universities entrance examination for undergraduate studies in August 2003. He was also offered to pursue his studies as an M.S. student at Sharif University without participating in the entrance examination for the M.S. program.
