First-Aid Trainings

First-aid Trainings

Beyond our CPR programs, EMSaT also offers group first-aid training on various other topics.

Learn to Respond

CPR isn’t the only life-saving skill out there. Learning how to respond in an emergency can prove vital to improving outcomes should an incident occur in front of you.

Recognizing that certain organizations and groups are uniquely positioned to observe injuries and emergencies, EMSaT is ready and willing to offer trainings to reduce the time between an emergency and initial treatment.

  1. What kind of training is offered?
First-aid training can be provided for responding to a number of different emergencies. This includes alcohol/drug overdoses, industrial accidents, athletic injuries, and bleeding control.
  2. Who runs these trainings?
Our trainings are run by members of EMS at Tech, including at least one member who’s certified at the EMT level.
  3. How far in advance do we need to contact EMSaT?
The sooner the better, as it takes time to organize on our end! We ask for a minimum of three weeks notice.
  4. How much does it cost?
Unlike the public CPR classes, we do request that any organizations be willing to pay a fee for these types of classes (although exceptions can be made). Those funds are fed directly back into EMSaT, to ensure that we can continue offering our services for years to come.
