jada received her BS in chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2022. She received training in bioanalytical chemistry under Dr. Mehnaaz Ali to observe molecular interactions between nucleic acid probes and their selected targets that aid in the detection efficiency of clinical and environmental targets. In the summer of 2021 she was accepted to an REU program at Texas A&M University working under the mentorship of Dr. Jonathan Sczepanski working in biochemistry and chemical biology. Her project included testing the stability chiral DNA and RNA in different biological in order to better develop DNA based therapeutics. Her professional interests are in forensic chemistry. In her spare time she enjoys crocheting outfits and dancing, specifically hip hop and contemporary.
