Office of Greek Life
How It Works
- Pledge with a Greek Organization
- Determine if you want to switch to a Greek Plan. This is not a mandatory requirement, students can keep their original First Year plan.
- Greek organizations provide meal plans that allow members to dine at their respective houses. These meal plans are independent and not related to the mandatory meal plan required by the Institute. If you choose to purchase the house plan, you will still have to have a First Year plan.
- Submit Your request through the Office of Greek Life. The Office of Greek Life will send us all each semester. Please DO NOT submit a support ticket make this change, you will be redirected to the Office of Greek Life.
- Continue to use your meal plan after submitting your request. All refunds are typicllaly issued after the first month of classes. Your plan will prorated to that date.
- Plans are changed.
Understanding the Proration
All First Year meal plans are prorated to the date when the plans are switched.
The proration for all meal plans is determined on the number of days that have passed in the semester. The meal plan is divided by the total operational days in the semester and each day is assigned a value. That value is then multiplied by the number of days that have passed. The number of swipes used or the amount of times a students entered the dining hall does not impact the proration calculation.
Most students can expect a $500-700 refund after the plans are switched.
