RTG Graduate Fellowships: Thanks to a generous NSF support we are able to offer several RTG graduate fellowships each year for the next several years. The fellowships entail
- 2 years of support (including summer terms) with no teaching to be used anytime in the first 3 years in the program.
- a stipend of $30,000 per year while supported from the grant and standard support for another 3 to 4 years as a teaching assistant or graduate instructor.
- tuition waivers while supported by the grant or the School of Math.
- $1,000 of travel money to be used in your first 3 years in the program. In addition, the School of Math and Georgia Tech offer some support to attend conferences.
- participation in RTG activities such as seminars, directed reading program, and more.
To apply for an RTG graduate fellowship, simply fill out the standard application to the mathematics PhD program at Georgia Tech and in your cover letter and/or personal statement indicate your interest in geometry and topology and interest in the RTG fellowship. If you are admitted to the PhD program you will then automatically be considered for an RTG fellowship. (Due to the requirements of the grant, we can only consider U.S. citizens, nationals, and permanent residents for the fellowships.) Members of underrepresented groups in mathematics are especially encouraged to apply!
