Alpha Eta Circle Events

The Georgia Tech Circle (Alpha Eta) of Omicron Delta Kappa hosts a number of campus-wide annual events and leadership development programming.

Georgia Tech Leadership Conference (GTLC)

The Georgia Tech Leadership Conference (GTLC) is an annual event consisting of a full-day of leadership programming open to all Tech undergrad and graduate students. The conference theme varies each year to follow interest and societal trends.

Fresh Direction

A unique leadership conference co-hosted by ODK and Georgia Tech MOVE (Mobilizing Opportunities for Volunteer Experiences) designed specifically for first-year students. The conference is focused on the theme of personal leadership style development, particularly the idea of servant leadership while at Tech.

Freshman Leadership Awards

An annual reception where Omicron Delta Kappa recognizes exceptional freshman students who have excellent in their contributions at Tech and represent the central ideals of ODK.

Talks@Tech

Talks@Tech is the platform by which ODK brings in impactful speakers to the entire student body. Our past speakers have included Tracy Hoover (CEO of Points of Light), Admiral Winnefeld (Former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff), Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Mike Duke, and NSA Director Admiral Rogers. Talks@Tech also hosts an annual conversation with President Bud Peterson.

Ramble In

A few years ago, members of ODK at Georgia Tech had an idea to bring Georgia Tech closer together – a day where everyone walks around campus and introduces themselves to as many people as they can.

Internal Circle Events

In addition to the campus-wide events, the Alpha Eta Circle also hosts events for its membership. These events are oriented towards further developing leadership skills, building student-faculty relationships, and improving campus.

Deek Duos

Deek Duos is a membership initative that pairs Deeks with each other each month. Deek Duos have the opportunity to get coffee, grab lunch or just catch up. The Deek Duo who submits the most creative picture from their meeting wins a prize from our Membership Chair!

ODK Socials

Two to three times each semester ODK will host socials for its undergraduate and graduate membership. These events are up to the discretion of the Vice President and Circle members and range from dinners to activities to service work.

ODK Opinion

The ODK Opinion happens at our bi-weekly meetings on Tuesdays at 6:30pm. At each meeting, the Circle picks a topic concerning a pressing campus issue or current event. ODK uses our network of diverse, involved leaders to inform ourselves on the topic and discuss its impact on Georgia Tech. We then brainstorm areas in which our Circle can work to improve the current campus experience. The ODK Opinion is published in the Technique as a Letter to the Editor biweekly.

ODK National Events

Omicron Delta Kappa is a large national honor society with represented at over 300 schools across the nation. The Georgia Tech Circle is active on the national level sending representatives to the bi-annual National Convention and more frequent regional Drive-In meetings. Our two previous Circle Presidents have also held national officer positions.
