Ayush Parikh

Ayush is an OMSCS student pursuing the ML specialization. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2021 with a degree in Computer Science and minors in Math, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship. While at Penn, Ayush co-authored 2 journal publications through the Vojvodic computational chemistry lab. He was also awarded the Littlejohn Summer Research Fellowship as well as the Norman Gross Award for his senior design project, StockSense. Ayush currently works as a backend software engineer at Microsoft and lives in the Seattle area. As part of HAAG, Ayush is working on 2 projects. The first project is a collaboration with Dr. Stroud’s biology research group to study lizard evolution. Ayush is developing an ML-powered image processing and landmarking pipeline for this project. For the second project, he is working on the higher education research team studying community outreach programs and how to make large, online research groups more effective. In his free time, Ayush loves to play piano, run, and cheer on the Yankees, Knicks, and Giants as he is originally from NJ.
