1. Jira and Azure DevOps User Limits
- Current Status: Both tools have user limits on the free tier (10 users for Jira, 5 for Azure DevOps).
- Action Items:
- Consider using Microsoft ToDo for requests.
- Explore the possibility of a dedicated Slack channel for requests. Contact Bree in General for confirmation.
- If no response by Friday, proceed with including this in the report and move forward with implementation.
2. PACE Resources and Tools
- Task Assignment:
- Adam Thomas: Meet for ~15 minutes to discuss the pros and cons of using Phoenix vs. ICE and PACE resources.
- Use Phoenix if it proves to be a better fit, otherwise utilize available PACE resources.
3. Project Communication and Outreach
- Vikas’ Role:
- Collect contacts of individuals working on different projects and their communication methods.
- Prepare and send out documents to candidate researchers.
- Draft abstracts for projects and finalize outreach documents based on the level of detail.
4. Higher Ed Website and Project Details
- Yoon’s Tasks:
- Update the Higher Ed website with meeting notes and recordings.
- Start writing project details and recruitment information for each project.
5. Webmaster and Code Tracking
- Eve’s Responsibilities:
- Collect researcher bios and update the bio pages on the website.
- Promote to GitHub owner and add new researchers to enable code contributions.
- Investigate code tracking feature implementation for accuracy.
- Familiarize with the PACE TA role.
6. Project Tracking and Feedback Pipeline
- Eve’s Analysis:
- Explore project tracking options, preferring Jira.
- Evaluate the viability of using Azure DevOps or Jira despite their user limits.
7. Team Organization and Support
- Kailey’s Input:
- Chichlid team may need the most help, currently disorganized with many sub-projects.
- Yoon’s Inquiry: Which project requires the most support?
- Vikas’ Update: No formal team leads, but groups are forming based on report contributions.
8. Undergraduate Involvement
- Vikas’ Update: An undergraduate reached out for opportunities to contribute.
- Kailey’s Suggestion:
- Check with Bree or alumni if there are tasks available for undergrads.
- Consider having them start a YouTube channel for the research team.
- Assign tasks based on the list of needs, pending Bree’s approval.
