1. Logo Competition Planning
- Preparation: Vikas is developing a template and timeline for the upcoming logo competition.
- Action Items:
- The team is requested to provide feedback on key aspects such as participant eligibility, potential prizes, and submission guidelines.
- A Google Form will be created and linked on the Higher Ed website, with the competition hosted exclusively on Georgia Tech’s platform. The link will be distributed to registered students.
2. Project Summary Development
- Objective: The team will create one-page summaries for each project, which will include links to the respective public GitHub repositories.
- Purpose: These summaries will be published in a forthcoming magazine. Each team member will be responsible for drafting a summary for a designated project.
3. Resource Access Stability
- Update: Access to PACE ICE resources has been stabilized and is now fully distributed among the team.
4. Alumni Engagement
- Current Progress: Vikas is coordinating sessions with alumni, with three to four responses received so far.
- Next Steps: He is compiling an active alumni list and exploring opportunities for alumni to contribute to ongoing projects.
5. Code Template Utilization
- Review: Eve is evaluating the adoption of code templates across different projects, with a particular focus on the Cichlid project.
- Strategy:
- If the template proves effective, it will be recommended to other groups.
- Eve is also collecting feedback to refine and promote this approach to ensure broader implementation.
6. Project Management Tools
- Discussion: The team discussed the potential use of Trello for project management and the Wiki Page for tracking metrics, including those generated by Kafka.
- Integration: Eve is investigating the possibility of integrating GitHub with the selected project management tools for enhanced code tracking.
7. Higher Ed Website Updates
- Responsibility: Yoon is tasked with updating the Higher Ed website to include meeting resources, detailed project information, and dedicated pages for individual projects.
