To overcome the IS&S Challenge and fulfill the ICIF Guiding Principles, we require a novel approach based on the concept of trusted digital assertions and an Assertion-Based Architecture (ABA), which provides a flexible and scalable framework in which trusted digital assertions can be created, validated, and relied upon as a basis for online trust.
In the following pages, we define the ABA in greater detail, we introduce its capabilities, and we demonstrate that it aligns with and satisfies the ICIF Guiding Principles.
