Devon Green is a first year Master’s student and the current graduate research assistant for the IMPACT Lab. She researches loudspeaker enclosure engineering and acoustics design. She has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and a passion for audio!

Chaeryeong Oh is currently pursuing a master’s program in music technology at Georgia Tech and holds a graduate certificate in Science and Technology Studies (STS). They explore Korean futurism and sustainability through interactive music, often utilizing web-based environments. Their current research topic is reshaping Luigi Russolo’s noise machine, Intonarumori, through a Korean Queer perspective, framed with the magical girl metaphor.

J.F. Nation is a 2nd year Master’s student in Georgia Tech’s Music Tech program. Their research focuses on augmenting historical artifacts with electronic instruments and historically informed performance practices. By incorporating critical-making techniques, science and technology studies, and sound studies, their work sonifies colonial, ecological, and queer injustices. Building on their BA in Music & physics minor from Cornell University, their studies include composition, instrument design, and sociological critiques of technoscience.

TeAiris Majors started out as a music education student at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University studying percussion and composition, while creating original pieces and performing at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall. He continued at the University of Florida, obtaining a Master of Music in Percussion Performance. Majors later transitioned to teaching, also leading through master classes for middle/high school and collegiate events. Majors is currently pursuing his studies in Music Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research engages with the development of interactive music applications, accessible midi controllers, music performance, and virtual music instruments/experiences. His primary goal is to make music education and creation more accessible and immersive for everyone.

Kyle Smith is a multimedia artist and engineer pursuing a Master’s in Music Technology. With a BS in Creative Technology and Design, his research investigates the intersection of spatial audio, interface design, and the application of naturalistic soundscapes to enhance human well-being.

Mats Cevallos is a 24-year-old Ecuadorian composer and master’s student in Music Technology. Their work focuses on designing innovative musical instruments and exploring new ways to make music more expressive and interactive. With a passion for merging technology and creativity, they aim to redefine how we experience and connect with sound.

Renny Hyde is an undergraduate student studying computer engineering, music tech, and physics. Their research interests lie in creating embedded computing devices which encourage interaction with the natural world through sonification and field recording.
