Inayah Brown (she/her)
Hello! I am a first-year Mathematics Ph.D student at Georgia Tech. Currently, my interests lie in dynamics as well as geometric group theory.
I was born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I attended undergrad at Gwynedd Mercy University in Ambler, Pennsylvania and was a student in the third cohort of Northwestern University’s Causeway Post-baccalaureate Program in Evanston, Illinois.
Outside of math, my hobbies include dancing, fashion, makeup, and video games (mostly Nintendo). I have also recently been interested in weightlifting!
A personal goal of mine is to be an advocate for diversity and inclusion in academia. As a black woman, I know first-hand that my community is underrepresented. I hope to get involved in organizations for students of color at Georgia Tech and promote visibility for black academics.
I am excited to further immerse myself in Atlanta’s rich and diverse culture and experience everything Georgia Tech has to offer.
