BIO:
Natalie Cannon graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2021 with a degree in physics. She spent two summers conducting research with the Department of Energy at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) on the Princeton Field Reversed Configuration Reactor. During her internship she became involved in nuclear non-proliferation science policy through a global science policy think tank, The Federation of American Scientists (FAS). In her free time, Natalie enjoys playing DnD, running, and befriending local opossums.
RESEARCH:
Natalie is currently researching additive manufacturing techniques and the potential threats they pose to nuclear proliferation. She joined LANNS in August of 2021 and is being co-advised by Dr. Erickson and Dr. Biegalski. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering.
