Research

The Materials for Biomedical Systems (MBS) initiative aligns well with Yeo’s group and the center’s ongoing research and activities. As the director of the IEN Center for Human-Centric Interfaces and Engineering (CHCIE), Yeo has actively been working with IBB, IEN, GTRI, and many others at Georgia Tech, while collaborating with clinicians at CHOA and Emory Medicine.

The team is studying soft materials, biomaterials, biomechanics, nanomanufacturing, soft packaging, and machine learning to develop new engineering solutions in persistent machine control, smart rehabilitation, noninvasive healthcare, and biofeedback-enabled therapeutics.

Biomaterials
– Biodegradable polymer
