Burhan Suhan

Md. Burhan Kabir Suhan joined the Meredith Group in 2024 as a PhD student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Tech. His research focuses on achieving net-zero paper production through innovative refining, forming, and electrified drying techniques. In this project, he is co-supervised by Dr. Cyrus K. Aidun and Dr. Patritsia Stathatou.

Suhan earned both his BSc (2021) and MSc (2024) in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). During his undergraduate and master’s studies, he conducted research on exploring the application of TiO2-based nanoparticles for sustainable organic pollutant removal from water. In June 2024, he was honored with the prestigious Bangladesh Prime Minister’s “Scholar Award” for his significant contributions to one of the country’s most critical sectors.

In his free time, Suhan enjoys going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and volunteering.
