Pickrick Closes for Good
After eventually forcing Maddox to close, on February 22, 1965, Jack Googer, who worked on Peachtree Street, peacefully sat down to lunch in the now-renamed Gateway Cafeteria. Shortly after, Georgia Tech purchased the restaurant. After serving as an administration building and campus police station for about 50 years, it was recently demolished to make way for the Eco-Commons. The Eco-Commons is now the site of this AR
