School of Cybersecurity and Privacy (SCP)
When SCP was launched in Fall of 2020, it was not only the first time in a decade that Georgia Tech launched a new graduate school, but it was the first multidisciplinary school solely dedicated to cybersecurity.
As a Communications Officer I and II, I had the unique opportunity of building the school’s brand and voice across multiple channels from the ground up. Here are a few projects I am particularly proud of so far.
April 2022 – February 2023

iHeart Media
For a little under a year, I served as a temporary, part-time Digital Editor at iHeartMedia, publishing 170 podcast-related stories and reaching 1.3 million users. The topics ranged from financial to pop culture and were shared across web and social media platforms.

Georgia Northwestern Technical College
For nearly two-years I served as Marketing and Media Specialist at Georgia Northwestern Technical College. During my time at GNTC I traveled throughout the Northwest Georgia area, telling the stories of the students working in one of the state’s best technical schools. My works were printed in newspapers and shared on the web and social media.

The Rome News-Tribune
After graduating college I joined the Rome News-Tribune as a staff writer. During my time here I covered the education beat, which included both public school systems as well as local colleges. I wrote several news articles on a daily basis and covered breaking news as it unfolded.
