McKaela Kramer

McKaela Kramer (Literature, Media, and Communication, Class of ’23)

will be a English and Literature as a Teaching Fellow with Breakthrough Atlanta for Summer 2022.. Her work will include service, teaching middle schoolers, lesson planning, leadership training, and classroom experience. Breakthrough Atlanta is under AmeriCorps and works to increase academic opportunities for motivated and underserved students and developing the next generation of educators by having college students working as teachers .

Jessica Maebius

(B.S, Music Technology with a Electrical & Computer Engineering minor, Class of ’23)

Jessica is a GT CEISMC Innovator-in-Residence at Kemp Elementary School in Clayton County Schools.  She is working with teachers to implement STEAM into the 4th and 5th grade curriculum. Her work also includes planning a long-term Tiny Home Design Challenge for the students to design and make 3D models of tiny homes that would help solve the problem of housing affordability in their

Reda Park

(B.S., Biomedical Engineering, Class of 2022)

Reda is a Fall 2021 Academic   Intern for the Excel Program housed in part of CEISMC.  Excel is a four-year certificate program for students with intellectual and development disabilities. Reda will be learning to develop curriculum, create lesson plans, co-teach, and much more.

Daniel Webber

(Mechanical Engineering, Class of 2024)

is a Spring 2022 Pre-Teaching intern at Centennial Academy, a K-8 charter school in Atlanta. Daniel is working with 6th grade Science teachers to help develop STEAM (STEM + Arts)-based Problem-Based Learning curriculum as well as learn how to teach.

Sam Naab

(Literature, Media & Communication, Class of 2021)

Sam was a 2019-20 intern with Dr. Emily Wiegel in the Georgia Tech Biological Sciences department. Sam worked with Dr. Weigel and other faculty to create curriculum maps, align existing course objectives with national curricula and validating assessments and growth benchmarks and also co-authored an article on the use of drones in the classroom.  Sam also spent the summer of 2018 as an intern for World Teach South Africa. He was a teaching assistant for English classes and led workshops and extracurricular activities. Sam is currently in the ACE program with the University of Notre Dame and teaching middle school English in Oklahoma.

Ren Zheng

Ren Zheng (Computational Media; minor in Psychology: Class of ’23)
