Wetted Wall Cyclone for Bioaerosol Collector

I am currently working on the Wetted Wall Cyclone. The cyclone collects diffuse aerosols floating in ambient air, which may contain harmful pathogens such as the Covid virus. A vacuum pump inhales the aerosols and the cyclone sprays tiny droplets of collection liquid onto the air stream. As the flow swirls inside the cylindrical cyclone body, the particles are carried to the wall due to their high inertia. Then the thin layer of collection liquid is mixed with the particles so that we obtain concentrated hydrosol of the target particles. It can be utilized for public health or biological warfare. If we expand the target particles to human tissues like skin flakes, the downstream analysis has numerous applications for forensic or intelligence purposes.
