Jingyu Li Ph.D. student in Operations Research About: I am a Ph.D. student in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. Before that, I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am currently interested in applying advanced quantitative methods such as statistical models and data-driven optimization to understand a phenomenon or to improve a current existing solution, especially in the healthcare field. My goal is to solve challenging issues arising from public health and medical decision-making and to generate new insights that could promote overall wellness in the community during my Ph.D. study. |

Meghan Meredith Ph.D. student in Operations Research About: I am an Operations Research Ph.D. student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In May 2020, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BS in Industrial Engineering. My research interests include addressing healthcare operations and public health challenges using data analytics, simulation, and optimization.

Abel Sapirstein Ph.D. student in Operations Research About: I completed my undergraduate degree in math and computational biology at Harvey Mudd College. I want to leverage OR as a tool for promoting equity in our healthcare systems, both domestically and globally, through modeling, incentive alignment, and hopefully eventually public policy. Broadly my research interests surround stochastic modeling and simulation within the context of public health crises.

Yuming Sun (co-advised with Pinar Keskinocak) Ph.D. student in Operations Research About: I have an undergrad’s degree in Industrial Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a master’s degree in Operations Research at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am interested in research of healthcare delivery, healthcare optimization, vaccine-preventable disease modeling, evaluation of intervention strategies, resource allocation, economic analysis of public health. I am currently focusing on the spread of poliovirus in high-risk areas and cost-effective interventions to stop, prevent and eliminate polio outbreaks.
