I am Stephanie Reikes a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics (SoM) at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am responsible for teaching all the Pre-Calculus curriculum, including Math 1113: Pre-Calculus, Math 1111: College Algebra, and Math 0999: Support for College Algebra. In addition, I am the Director of the Math Lab.
Other work I have contributed to include starting the first Learning Assistant Program on campus, coordinating Graders for the SoM, and teaching Math 1113: Pre-Calculus and Math 1551: Differential Calculus for the Georgia Tech Language Institute (GTLI) SABIC Program.
My areas of interest include helping students who have a higher probability of failing academically, diversity & inclusion and bringing active learning to the classroom.
I was the recipient of the Center for Teaching and Learning’s Undergraduate Educator Award in 2021, which recognizes the outstanding contributions that non-tenure track faculty make to the education of students at Georgia Tech. In addition, I was awarded the Faces of Inclusive Excellence by Institute Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at Georgia Tech in 2021.
