Georgia Tech offers a variety of climate and sustainability-related co-curricular programs that provide opportunities for community engagement and team-based problem solving.

Sustainable Communities Internship Program
The Sustainable Communities Internship program is offered every summer and is an opportunity for students looking to gain real-world experience related to sustainability and community engagement. Summer interns have the option to register their internship via the Career Center and earn internship course audit credit and can choose between a part-time (15-20 hours per week) or full-time (30-40 hours per week) internship. The Sustainable Communities Summer Internship Program is a 12-week program (mid-May to mid-August).

Carbon Reduction Challenge
The Carbon Reduction Challenge is a competition focused on empowering students to become part of the climate change solution. Students work with an organization on a project that achieves significant reductions in carbon emissions and yields cost savings, while creating a meaningful experience for the student to learn more about advocating for climate action.

Living Learning Campus Opportunities
Living Learning Campus opportunities are offered in operations, research, and education. We prioritize collaborations with measurable outcomes that facilitate student learning and experiential research that positively impact our campus.

SCoRE
The Center for Sustainable Communities Research and Education (SCoRE) engages faculty, students, and staff in long-term, strategic research and education collaborations with community partners, focusing on sustainability in the Atlanta region, the state of Georgia, and the Southeast.
