Three key schools of thought for defining megaregions emerged from our review of existing literature. These schools of thought include the Satellite approach, Nodal Linkages approach, and Interdependent Systems approach. Listed below are the papers from these three schools of thought that we found most relevant in our search for a megaregion definition.
