What is Tableau Server?
Tableau Server is a secure, scalable platform for hosting, sharing, and collaborating on data visualizations and dashboards. It allows users to interact with published reports, explore data, and derive insights.
The GT Tableau Server is designed to support self-service analytics, empowering departments to:
- Connect to Enterprise Data – Access governed centrally modeled institutional data sources from various domains, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Incorporate Your Own Data – Upload and blend your own data with enterprise data sources, allowing for more tailored analysis.
- Reduce Time to Insights – Quickly explore and analyze data without relying on other teams, enabling faster discovery and decision-making.
- Publish and Share Content – Upload and distribute Tableau reports and dashboards while adhering to governance standards.
- Ensure Security & Permissions Control – Role-based access ensures users can only interact with the data they are authorized to see.
This setup empowers tenants with the flexibility to explore and analyze data independently while maintaining structure, security, and efficiency.
