Teaching

As a leading public university and an anchor institution in our city and state, Georgia Tech has a critical role to play in educating students about critical global challenges and what that means for their careers and communities. Courses and programs I have been developed or collaborated on achieve this through engaging the business community, NGOs and community organizations alike, providing experiential learning, and fostering an interdisciplinary learning environment.

Courses

Foundations of Sustainable Systems and Communities, SLS/MGT 3120 (Undergraduate)

Business Strategies for Sustainability, MGT 6359 (MBA)

Business Strategies for Sustainability, IMBA 6430 (Executive Education)

Educational Programs

Educational programming of the Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business.

The Center brings together students, research faculty, companies, and entrepreneurs to create an environment where business-driven solutions to sustainability challenges can take shape and thrive.

Carbon Reduction Challenge

The Carbon Reduction Challenge is a competition focused on empowering students to become part of the climate change solution. Students work with an organization on a project that achieves significant reductions in carbon emissions and yields cost savings. The challenge is an initiative of the Global Change Program and Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business at Georgia Tech, in collaboration with the Georgia Climate Project.

Center for Serve-Learn-Sustain

Serve-Learn-Sustain is a campus-wide academic initiative working with all six colleges to offer students opportunities inside and outside the classroom to collaborate with diverse partners – across the community, non-profit, government, academic, and business sectors – on key sustainability challenges. Through SLS, students use the knowledge and skills they are acquiring at GT to help “create sustainable communities.”
